STDC Takes EIC Students on Educational Tour of Karachi’s Heritage Sites

At each stop, students were introduced to Karachi’s diverse heritage, historical development, and cultural significance — giving them a first-hand understanding of the city’s architectural and historical treasures beyond what a classroom can offer.

Supporting Heritage Education

The initiative reflects STDC’s broader commitment to heritage education, cultural awareness, and responsible tourism among young people. By connecting students directly with historical sites and museums, STDC aims to build lasting appreciation for the preservation of Sindh’s cultural heritage among the next generation.

About the Participating Students

The Karachi office of the Educational Institute Charity (EIC) is run by Sister Dagmar and Sister Dietlinde from Germany, who operate family-style homes — including House Hanna, House Tabitha, and House Samuel — providing care and support to around 100 children from low-income or distressed backgrounds.

Students and teachers expressed their appreciation to STDC and the Culture and Tourism Department, Government of Sindh, for the informative and educational experience.

STDC reaffirmed that it will continue to encourage CSR and educational tourism initiatives of this kind, aimed at engaging students and communities in discovering Sindh’s rich history, culture, and tourism potential.

Sites Visited

Participants explored several of the city’s most significant historical landmarks and museums, including:

  • Mohatta Palace Museum
  • Quaid-e-Azam House Museum
  • National Museum
  • Mazar-e-Quaid
